Job Coaching for Employers

At RISE Services, we partner with employers to support successful, inclusive hiring. Our job coaching services help employees with disabilities learn their roles effectively while minimizing disruption to your operations.

We work alongside your team to ensure new hires are well-trained, supported, and positioned for long-term success — without adding extra work for supervisors.

What Is Job Coaching?

Job coaching is on-site, individualized training and support provided by RISE Services staff.

A job coach:

  • Trains the employee directly at the job site
  • Helps the employee learn tasks, routines, and expectations
  • Supports communication between the employee and supervisor
  • Addresses challenges early to prevent performance issues
  • Gradually fades support as the employee becomes independent

Job coaches are not supervisors and do not replace management — they provide targeted support so your team can focus on running the business.

Support is flexible — it may be intensive during onboarding and reduced as the employee gains confidence and independence.

Cost to Employers

In most cases, job coaching services are funded through public programs, such as:

  • Vocational Rehabilitation (DARS/DORS)
  • Medicaid Waiver programs
  • School transition services

There is typically no cost to the employer for job coaching support.
